So the week after we went to Vegas for Jonathan's graduation, we (Jonathan, Mom, and I) all met up in Phoenix for a couple of little concerts by a little band named U2. Holy freakin' amazing! It's been four years since my last U2 show, and I was so ready. See:
Yeah, I was a little excited. First show we were in seats, but look how close we were! We had a great view of the band and all the visuals, which were awesome! And the show was by all accounts the best of the tour so far, with an amazing crowd, an uber-excited fan getting to play guitar on stage for "In God's Country," Bono forgetting the chords to "Sweetest Thing" and having to start the song over again after sharing a laugh with the rest of the band, a completely outstanding version of "Bad," and the always-spine-tingling red intro to "Streets." The new songs sounded great ("Song for Someone"=wow!), the old songs sounded great (I got to hear "Electric Co." live for the first time!), and all was right with the world.

| Yes, that's Bono walking inside the screen and Edge walking underneath it. So cool. |
And then, the next night, we got to do it all over again, except this time on the floor. Woohoo! Really, there's nothing that compares to being down there in the middle of crazy jumping fans feeding off everyone's energy. A-maz-ing! Yes, photo overload coming up—and they're not all very clear. I'm always way too much into the music to take time to take professional pictures. Deal with it. :)

| Hey, look, it's The Edge! |

| Hey, look, it's me and The Edge! |
 |
| Joshua trees! |
 |
| If it's red, it must be "Streets," and Katrina must be fighting back tears. |
Have I mentioned how much I love this band? Because I do. Maybe too much. But I'm owning it. Totally fabulous weekend. And then, to top it off, there was this during the day:
Not quite the beach, but I'll take it!
