Skirts are stupid. They make it impossible to sit comfortably and impossible to show of your impressive karate kicks or fabulous arabesques, and if it's windy you can't go outside for a lunchtime stroll without giving everyone a peep show. And I have to put one on every bloody morning. (I was punching the keys really hard while I typed that "bloody," just so you know.) Seriously, I'm sick of them. What idiot woman, back when pants were invented, said, "No, I'll just stick with what I have, thanks; you men can wear those new-fangled trouser things"? Definitely not woman's best hour.
Wow, it felt good to get that out. And now it's a good thing it's a long weekend.

Just be glad you didn't grow up in the pioneers time long skirts. or in my time when we had to wear skirts to school never pants and sometimes that wasn't a good idea especially those girls that got on the tricky bars. At least pants are more modest for many things. I know the church requires skirts at work. Just be glad for the weekends. :)
Amen. I have a big bone to pick with whatever idiot persists in keeping skirts and hose part of the Church employment dress code.
Having worked a job where I had to wear skirts daily I think I understand. Not only did I have to wear them daily but crawl under people's desks and unplug and get into dusty computers and take inventory of parts never recorded... It was not terribly ladylike. Interesting that such a refined place like the MTC would still make a female wear missionary style clothing to do such activities.
However, I must admit that the sundress I had on yesterday was so comfy and cool on a hot humid day! What wasn't cool was having to put on jeans under it and wrap up on a blanket, as well as put on bug spray so that I didn't get eaten alive by mosquitoes again! Lets just say I was a bit sweaty after 2 hours of that business.
AMEN! Plus, I see women wearing skirts that hit them above their knees. How is that more "modest" than pants?
Maybe I would have a different opinion if had to wear a skirt everyday to work. ~But a long, comfortable, somewhat full skirt, with bare legs and sandals (or flip flops for those can enjoy them) on a hot summer day can be a lot cooler than even the best of capris!
