Happy Christmas

December has been crazy this year, and it took me a long time to get into the Christmas spirit. That's very weird for me, but I finally got there last week—just in time, really. Here are a few pictures (not very good ones, I'm afraid) that will serve as a quick recap of the holiday. First, my tree. I never really finished decorating it, but all the important ornaments got on there.

We decorated cookies at my mom's house last Saturday. This has become one of my favorite traditions. I love watching my nephews have as much fun with the frosting and sprinkles as I did when I was their age. Here's Ethan with all his creations—and that boy is creative. Take a look at the patterns he made with his sprinkles. (Someday he's going to hold still for a picture.)

And then there was the Christmas Eve trip to the cemetery. It's the first time in quite a few years that we've had snow on Christmas Eve. I love the candles in the snow.

Here's Mom and Jonathan and me in front of Mom's Christmas tree.

And here's what I got for Christmas. I've been wanting one of these forever, and I'm super excited about it. I'm going to get to bake things for real now!
