Winter

After the very dismal non-winter of last year, Mother Nature decided that we needed some real snow this year. And to that I say woohoo! OK, it helps that I bought my new car at exactly the right time. I get to plow through the snow with my four-wheel drive while keeping nice and warm and comfy with my heated seats. I don't have to shovel, since my HOA takes care of that (or at least they're supposed to), and I can drive from my garage to covered parking at work and only step outside in the cold when I go to Zumba—and that's worth a run through the snow any day. There were two or three weeks there when it got bad. Smog and temperatures that never get above 12 are bad.
I took this one day and sent it to my brother in Las Vegas (I didn't pull over fast enough to get the picture when it said -1). I don't think he was jealous. I kind of wanted to just stay in my pajamas and curl up with hot chocolate in front of my fireplace all day. But look at what else winter brings:
That is the biggest icicle I've ever seen in real life. Crazy. And just when I was starting to think I'd never see the sun again, another big snowstorm came and ushered out all the junk. I don't care what you think about winter; when you come home to this after three weeks of staring at and breathing in a gray soupy mess, you've got to be happy.
See, there is blue sky out there. Fabulous! Now if only I could find a day to go skiing.

Yep, we're getting the snow this year but not the ski days. There's just something wrong with that.

I do NOT miss inversions! I love my cleaner air, while it lasts. That is a crazy icicle!

I know you like the snow but you also like flip flop weather also :) I had icicles that big hanging from the back and front Had someone come out and knock them down for me. we have had this much snow before but not the below freezing so long you were just too little to remember :) hope you get some skiing in soon.
