Chocolate or Nothing
Am I the only one who thinks having to ask for a chocolate Frosty at Wendy's is about as ridiculous as having to specify that your fries be made from potatoes? Yes, I know they introduced the vanilla Frosty a few years ago, but that doesn't mean that a regular Frosty isn't the chocolate kind. Does anybody even order the vanilla kind? If so, they're weird. I have refused to succumb to corporate pressure and insist on ordering my Frosty as just that, a Frosty. Most of the time I have no problem being understood; I get the cold, chocolatey goodness and go merrily on my way. But then there are those (thankfully few) drive-through workers who feel the need to ask, "Chocolate or vanilla?" I tell them "chocolate" as politely as I can while I'm rolling my eyes and thinking "Duh!" Then there was the Wendy's in Blackfoot, Idaho, I visited once, and only once. After I asked for a Frosty, they said, "We only have vanilla. Is that OK?" "Um, no," I said, and drove away. Don't mess with a girl and her Frosty.

Yeah, can't say as I've ever tried the vanilla. Why waste a perfectly good treat on just vanilla. Now, if they made a mint or peanut butter or strawberry Frosty, I might have to divert from the chocolate.
Amen!
Sorry Katrina, I am one of those weird people that order a vanilla frosty. But ya know half the time they give me a chocolate one and when I tell them I ordered a vanilla they say keep it and give me my preferred vanilla. Then whoever is with me gets their chocolate frosty and we are on our way! I seldom ordered frosty's until they came in vanilla. Now this is not to say I dont like chocolate but for some reason I just dont like chocolate ice cream without some additive (nuts, candy pieces, etc.) Chocolate milk is fine but please dont freeze it!
OK so I'm out of it. When did they start serving vanilla? From the references it sounds like quite awhile ago unless ya'll get Wendy's a lot. I never crave a frosty. My purpose for going to Wendy's is for the fries. They are the only fries I really like and think its worth giving up the calories for. But Nick is a frosty man. He would agree fully with you Katrina.
